List of Accredited Universities in Nigeria that Offer Distance Learning
This post is about the list of Accredited universities in Nigeria that offer distance learning. Many people in our beloved country love formal education and because of this, the number of prospective students trying to get into tertiary institutions have sky-rocketted over the years.
The consequence of this increase in prospective students is that since gaining admission via the traditional UTME/Post UTME route is highly competitive, the need for distance learning has increased and Vice Chancellors at certain Nigerian universities have moved to create distance learning programmes in their various schools.
Distance learning programmes are in no way inferior to the traditional regular university courses, the slight difference is that lectures are not received in the traditional classroom setting but anywhere, even in the convenience of your home as long as you have the necessary materials to study and a laptop to work with.
At the end of your academic pursuit, you receive the same degree that regular students get and you will be exempted from the mandatory one year national youth service after graduation.
Having said all these, it is very important to note that not all Nigerian universities are accredited to run distance learning programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC), that is why this post is being served you so that you will get sound knowledge of the accredited schools that run the programme.
